I’m running the comicpress theme, and I have installed the wpsso and ssb plugins. Both are active. I added the SSB widget to the lower right of my website: http://www.mackthemurse.com but several of the buttons are not showing up even though they were selected in the widget.

The space for the button is there, but the facebook button, for instance, which should be in position 1 does not show up.

Any ideas on how to get this to work?

    Thank you, Dave

It doesn’t look like the JavaScript for those buttons is getting included…

I ran some tests and the JavaScript is getting included fine on my QA websites. Let me look at this a little more and get back to you later today.

I can’t replicate the problem. Could you enable the “Add Hidden Debug Messages” option on the SSO -> Advanced settings page?

    Thanks,

I enabled it and cleared the cache.

    Thanks for looking into this!

I’ve noticed that if I show comments on the main page then all is well, all of the icons show up. This problem only occurs when the comments are not being shown.

    Found something:

<!-- wpsso debug from WpssoSsbSharing::show_header() Debug Log :
WpssoSsbSharing :: get_js : exiting early: invalid object type
     -->

That’s a bit odd. First time I see this. 🙂 Hm. Ok, let me look into this a bit more on my end. You can disable that debug option.

BTW, is your homepage a “Page”, or is it being generated by a plugin/theme?

    Thanks,

    js.

I think the main page is generated by the comicpress theme.

Ok, this was a pretty subtle one, but I think I figured a way around it. The problem was the lack of a proper get_queried_object() for your home page. Your theme authors should probably fix that, but I found a way around it. How comfortable are you with installing plugins from ZIP files? 🙂 You’d have to remove/uninstall WPSSO SSB, then install this one:

If you have an issue, it’s always best to open a new thread. 😉

Have a look through this FAQ entry, and if you’re still having problems, open a new support thread and I’ll be happy to assist you.
