Facebook feed not displaying in widget
-
Just installed this plugin to replace an outdated Facebook widget that wasn’t working properly at all…but all I get is the title entered in the settings. I’ve entered the page ID properly, have the widget set to show the two most recent posts, thumbs checked, but only the feed title shows up on the page. Not sure what I’m doing wrong…but would like to resolve it. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hey there!
On the Help tab, what do you see? There should be two test feeds loading, do either of those work?
If you increase the count to something like 10, do you get different results?
Best,
RichardHey there!
I actually just realized I think I’ve spoken to you via e-mail – is this Mark?
If so, should I go ahead and mark this resolved? I believe you were able to get it working.

Facebook feed not displaying in widgetI just did the update to 2.7.4 on our website http://www.PerthThunder.com.au & before doing the update everything was fine … now the feed doesn’t upload to the website … any ideas please???
I’m having the same issue on this homepage… http://www.samllanas.com
I have a turn widget to shortode that is running the plugin on the homepage… it now displays nothing…thesituation –
can you let me know what you mean by “I have a turn widget to shortode that is running the plugin on the homepage”?
If you could send a screenshot of your settings (basic and display options, not the style options) that will help me troubleshoot.
Best,
RichardI’m using “amr shortcode any widget” plugin to place the ik widget in a post… the only style command I’m giving it is title:false do it doesn’t break up the content and/or double title itself. I’ve played with most setttings to see if something would change it, checked the app keys, and used your shortcode instead (within the post) and had no luck.
ONly have the link photo to feed item box checked.. with 10 posts to display…
OK, that makes sense! Can you let me know which widget you are using?
When I inspect your site, it looks like the “Like Button Widget” – that widget will not output a feed — it only outputs the Like Button, Page Title, Number of Likes, etc.
If you look at the image, here: http://goldplugins.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/screenshot-51.png
The top widget in that image is the Like Button widget, and the bottom widget is the Feed Widget.
Can you confirm that you are using the Feed Widget and not the Like Widget?
Best,
RichardThanks Richard,
Yeah the like button is working a-ok. Definitely using the feed widget…-S
Well OK –
When I inspect your site, the Widget in your sidebar (at the bottom – I hope this is the one I’m supposed to looking at) has this class:
ikFacebookLikeButtonWidgetThat definitely indicates to me that it is the Like Button Widget and not the Feed Widget.
So, are you comfortable sharing with me a login to your site? I want to be sure there isn’t any issue by which the incorrect widget is being loaded – that would definitely be causing problems!
I’m not able to reproduce your issue locally, so being able to check out the site where the issue is occurring may be very helpful to me.
If you’re OK with it, you can send info to me directly via e-mail at hello@goldplugins.com – then I will login and click around the plugin a little bit.
I think that might save us some back-and-forth over the forum.

RichardHey Richard,
Its actually the feed is the center portion of the homepage…you can see the two hr noshade looking bars where it looks like its trying to load… the like button is in the sidebar-S
We have identified an issue, may or may not be the issue here, and will be putting out an update today.
I will update this thread when it is available!
Best,
RichardHello!
The issue in this thread has been addressed, although it looks like I forgot to update this thread.
Best,
RichardHi,
I have just installed IK Facebook Plugin (standard version) but cannot get it to display anything more than the Facebook page title.
I used the plugin on another site with no problems and I can’t see what’s wrong here. All Plugin Status tests are positive (other than PRO Features Unlocked).
Could it be because what little content is on the Facebook page has been there a while? If not, can you please take a look at http://www.rotarystneots.org.uk (left column widget) and suggest how I might get it to display the feed. Not being a fan of Facebook, I’m not entirely familiar with it but I’m pretty certain the page is public and not restricted in any way.
Many thanks.
Joy
