• Just bought the face book connect plugin as i was using ICS to pull calendar / face book event feeds which works well but there are no images included. All I really want is event images to be pulled in.

The facebook plugin looked like it would be a good option for this, unfortunately I have just not been able to get it to work.
I have followed the installation instructions exactly and even done it twice. I am able to list my groups and pages and connect to them but when trying to subscribe to events just get this error – “Something went wrong when retrieving data from Facebook. Try subscribing to fewer users or try logging off and logging in again.”

This message doesn’t really make sense as I am only subscribed to one user…

I have attached a screenshot of the wordpress back end page.
    My suspicions are around permissions..

you can see the plugin in action here

However all these events are from ICS

    Time.ly says –
“You can subscribe to the shared calendars of friends, pages, and groups you are connected with. Select those calendars you’re interested in below.”

I just can’t see / understand how to actually do this. Something is definitely not working correctly.

Even got hold of facebook developers and asked for our app to have manage_page permissions since I saw an error around this sometime during the plugin installation but they said since we are admin this is not required..

Please help / explain / clarify what we can actually do with this plugin now API v2 is out. Will it pull in event images and with our poster board extended view plugin create a nice looking poster wall with images?

    Thanks
