Facebook´s featured Image not showing up correctly when publicised.

    Hello, i´m having an issue with my Jetpack-Facebook sync.

    As I place a new post on my blog, the new post appears on facebook, but the image shown does not correspond to the featured image from the post. I think it is just picking a random image.

    Im using latest WP 3.6.1, with Jarida Theme, without any other pluggin installed. I set my featured image via the “set featured image” slot on the post page.

    What can be the problem for this issue, furthermore, is there any solution?

    When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

    Jetpack automatically adds these meta tags for you. An image meta tag is created for every post, as long as you’ve inserted an image or defined a Featured Image that was larger than 400x400px, as required by Facebook?

    You can see what Facebook sees by entering one of your posts’ URLs in Facebook Debugger:
    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

    If you check some of your posts, you’ll notice that your site actually gives 2 image meta tags per post: that might be what’s causing the confusion here, and causing Facebook to pick another image instead.

    Could you try to deactivate the plugin that’s adding the extra image tag, and make sure that all your Featured Images are all large enough? Let me know if it helps.
