Extracting WP posts and inputing excepts on main page

    I am creating a website for a magazine, and i have a seperate WP blog page within the site, but i would like to have the blog posts available in excerpt on the main page of the site.

    For an example: http://www.makezine.com

    anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
