Extracting bbPress Forum post excerpts (3 posts)

First off, I have to say that this is an incredibly powerful plug-in. Thanks for keeping this updated!

I have a bbpress Forums install I'm using for a new wine & travel website. I'd like to use the APL plug-in to build excerpts of the latest forum user posts, but I'm not sure that it's possible. I'm hoping someone has already tried to do this and can share some insight

In the APL settings page, I have post types "Forum", "Topic", and "Reply" showing up in their respective tabs.

When I click on the Forum tab, I can select a Parent, but there is nothing listed in the two panels (categories and tags). Here's what it looks like: http://www.dalluva.com/temp/forum-tab.JPG

The Topic tab shows no Parent selection, no category (left) panel, and in the tags (right) panel I can select "Require Taxonomy", "Require Terms" and "Include" -- but nothing below these to select. Here's what it looks like: http://www.dalluva.com/temp/topic-tab.JPG

The Reply tab is completely blank. http://www.dalluva.com/temp/reply-tab.JPG

SOOO... I'm not sure where to go from here. Ideally, I'm looking to extract Topic and Reply posts, and build excerpts accordingly. Any ideas/pointers on how to accomplish this with bbPress post types?

    Many thanks.
    Michael

As an update, here's a mock-up of what I'm eventually trying to create. This requires access to bbPress fields: Topic name, most recent Topic post/reply, name of the member posting, and his avatar.

I've already been able to create something like this for standard blog posts; I'm just trying to figure out if I can accomplish something similar with Advanced Post List.

    Cheers

At this moment in time, I don't have any dedicated support with bbPress, but later on in the future I was planning on adding support for it. Right now, all it really does is retrieves the Post Types, and lists the taxonomies and terms (tags) according to the way WordPress operates, but unfortunately, it isn't the way bbPress operates.

I use bbPress too, and would also like the APL plugin to display the topics and replies. I just haven't been able to get around to it yet with everything else going on with the plugin.

Currently, I'm working on 0.3.b6 and getting the majority of the remaining problems fixed. I'm planning on the next beta to be the last beta so I can move on, but there is still a lot of work to be done. So when it comes to making the plugin more extensive, until I have most of the core projects finished, it may be awhile til I can expand more on it, but it is already planned to get support for bbPress. I just don't know when it will be though.
