[resolved] Extra space at the bottom of Category pages (4 posts)

    My category pages seem to create a whole bunch of extra space at the bottom. The culprit seems to be the tag "article", which is somehow creating all the extra space, If I set it to 'display: none' then I lose all my content. Trying to control the height doesn't work well either.

    Here are a couple of the offending pages: http://www.torontoactingstudios.com/Wordpress/category/singing-for-actors/

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Heather

    @heatherland,

    The extra space is a result of the padding style applied to the .hentry, no-results element on line 701 (or so) of style.css.
    The code is currently:

    .hentry, .no-results {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #DDD;
    margin: 0 0 1.625em;
    padding: 0 0 1.625em;
    position: relative;
    }

    Change it to:

    .hentry, .no-results {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #DDD;
    margin: 0 0 1.625em;
    padding: 0;
    position: relative;
    }

    and it will remove the extra space on your category pages.

    Rachel Baker,

    You are a life saver! Thank you. That worked perfectly.

    If you feel like tackling another of my problems, have a go at this one:

    Thanks a million!
