Extra line spacing when copying and pasting (16 posts)

Not sure why this is happening ..

When I copy/paste text from Word into TextEdit, and then copy/paste from TextEdit into a WordPress post, I still get the extra spacing in between the lines. In the TextEdit doc, the formatting is correct.

    Thoughts?

Is TextEdit set up as a plain text editor?

Yes. I just checked. Could it be something with my theme?

When it's formatted, it's grouped into paragraphs with spacing in between them. I've tried copy and pasting several different ways. When I paste the TextEdit text into WP, it turns it into one large paragraph or into paragraphs but with an extra line space in between each line.

Is the text a single block in TextEdit with no blank lines?

Yes. These are song lyrics. So they are groups of 4 or 5 lines per paragraph.

In admin, the lines are stacked correctly, but have extra spacing. Here is the live page.

I'm confused. What are you asking for then?

What you are seeing could be the result of an issue with your commercial theme. Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

Thats not an option. I need to use this theme.
