Extra code showing up in sideblog (6 posts)

    I installed version 4.4 of sideblog and got it installed and showing posts correctly, however I'm having some extraneous code show up at the bottom-- a '-' and a '#'

    I went in to the plug-in editor for sideblog and was able to figure out where the '#' was coming from :

    (line 143) $replacements[] = "#";

    I was able to delete the '#' and have it disappear from the sideblog with no ill effect.

    However, I've been through all the rest of the code and am stumped as to where the extra '-' might be located to edit it to make it disappear as well.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    It is coming from here . . .
    '<h2>Brain Dump</h2>

  3. <p>la la la</p>

  4. '

    Looks like a link in your style sheet or a widget?

    I don't use widgets and I've looked where I put the code in the leftsidebar.php and can't find it in either place. Let me go look again just in case

    I have exactly the same problem. Same # and - appearing in the bottom of my sideblog widget.

    I'm happy to remove these characters from the code, but I suspect that's treating the symptoms and not the cause.

    I'm using WordPress 2.3.1

    I know! If you go to

    Options --> Sideblog

    and then see where it says:

    <li>%content% - %permalink%</li>

    it's the one between %content£ and %permalink%

    Took me ages to find the other day!
