• Hi,

Can any on assiste with this, it is fairly technical. The new theme customizer is very useful, however, for some reason it does seem to restrict external links from operating, I don’t know how exactly probably something burred in the customizer javascript.

This is fine, most of the time, but as the site is previewed in the admin back end, the ‘edit’ links are shown on pages / posts, however I think these are treated as external links and so clicking on edit does nothing, it would be really useful for them to actually trigger the page edit screen ( although I guess it might get messy as then it would be framing itself – so perhaps opening a new tab – or perhaps asking ‘do you really want to leave the customizer’ and closing it jumping to the admin back end)

SO the ‘not working’ of edit is probably there for good reason, but any one know how it could be a bit more user friendly than the edit button just not working, or alternatively, the edit link not being shown in the customizer preview?

    Alan
