External Javascript Vs Plugins

    Hi, I am new to wordpress and loving it a lot. I am creating a website which is having a image slider, a drop down menu and country clock on it. I know I can achieve these functionality by external jquery or wordpress plugins. I want to know which the better option. Should I use external JS or wordpress plugins.

    That answer is a tough one. It really depends on who the site is for and if you think you’ll be making many theme changes.

    Bu using plugins, you don’t run the risk of breaking anything if you change or update your theme. Using plugins also saves you time and effort.

    If the site is for you and you want more control on the files and functionality, then custom code is probably the best option.
