phidelityI am attempting to set up wordpress over an external database as the Mysql on the host is ancient.
The external host is mediatemple which requires you explicitly allow the remote connecting IP, which Ive done.
I've verified that the user/pass is correct - Ive verified that I am able to connect externally to the database using Mysql administrator from my pc. But WordPress cannot seem to connect with the same credentials.
