extended more hack no longer works with 1.01

Has anybody integrated the dodo Extended more mod into Wp 1.01? Before the mod changed
$output .= ” $more_link_text“;
in the b2template.functions.php file. I tried to find a simular line in Wp 1.01’s template-functions.php but nada.
