ExpressionEngine to WordPress (3 posts)

Has anyone looked into the possibility of importing posts from ExpressionEngine.

I currently have a EE site and want to move to a new CMS. I have been looking at several and WP is one of them. I would really hate to lose the hundreds of posts I have and really don't want to enter them by hand.

    Anyone?

you may want to look into whether EE exports posts in some form or the other.

If you can create a custom RSS feed with all the entries in it, then you can use import-rss.php in wordpress to import the entries.

Unfortunatly, I don't see an Export feature.

The RSS feed thing almost worked. It brought over the posts pretty good, just had problems with the categories. I might take a look at the import php file and see if there is something I can do about that.

Of course, I would love to pull the comments over too.

I might just start over with what ever I decide on (WP is leading at this point) and leave the old site running with links to the new one. I'm not really much of a PHP programmer.
