Exporting Test Site to a new Live Site (4 posts)

Before anyone gets too annoyed with me, let me say this is my first experience dealing with myPHP or doing an entire site on my own! Please be kind!

I've created a complete site on my Test Site...running Genesis and a Child Theme. There are no posts, but I've gotten all of the template the way I want it and I need to export it to the new, Live Site, which will be hosted on Justhost.com.

I was completely naive to think I could just export from one and import into another...and now I've gotten myself into something I have no idea how to fix! Can someone point me in the right direction for the BEST article on how to make the switch?

I know I need to do something with my databases, but which ones? Wanting to take everything......

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

From what I can tell it looks as if since I'm moving the files from my test site to somebody else's server with different address I'm going to hqve all kinds of issues. Would it be best if I simply install the themes I'm using on to her new site and then copy each one of the PHP files over from WordPress admin does that even make sense?

Justhost has a great article on how to move a wordpress site to their servers. Here it is:

    https://my.justhost.com/cgi/help/wordpress-migrate

These basic steps work anywhere you are looking to move your wordpress site.
