Exporting custom fields (for from test site to live site) (2 posts)

I just used wp's export content function to move my newly created custom post types + custom fields from my local test install to my online site. When I imported into the live site, all my custom post types came through, but none of my custom fields created did.

Is there an export function for custom fields created in Ultimate Post Type Manager? The standard wp export + import in Tools did not successfully do so.

    Thx for help.

yes there is all you need to do is select export from ultimate post type manager admin panel for the custom post type you want to export.

The export option is available when you mouse over an existing custom post type.

The code for custom field and post type is shown in the text area below it. Then copy the data and paste it to same place on server side. then press the import button to import the custom field and custom post type.
