   I've been working on a personal project of moving my old PixelPost photo blog to WordPress so I could import it on my current site.

   I created a clean test site and imported my PixelPost blog into using a 3rd party plugin. Worked pretty well, but I had to do a lot of editing and reformatting.

   The test site is http://www.lincolnbarbour.com/beta/
   
   Once I got everything looking the way I wanted, I exported using WP's XML export. I then imported the XML file using WP's Import into my live site (http://www.lincolnbarbour.com)

   The posts came through fine. But all the images are still referencing the /beta/ site. So none of my thumbnails are showing up and the posts aren't tied to images in the media library.

   So two questions: Why did this happen and what can I do about it?

   This plugin is helping, but I wish there was a way to automate it.
