   I am exporting about 1400 posts and about same amount of comments from WP 263

   I Install new WP (262 from fantastico) at new host OK

   Import produces only 518 posts from 2006 and prior.

   What happened to posts from 2006 to current? That's two thirds of my content that is missing?

   Do I have to forget about XML and slosh thru transfer via migration of .sql DB? All files still exist at live site at losing host.

   Not sure about the sloshing, but if I had a dump that I knew had 1400 posts in it, I would be using the cli or phpmyadmin.
