Export Sidebar Links (2 posts)

    Hello. First post. :)

I have a local install of wordpress and an online install of wordpress. I use the local copy to set-up and test things before I go live with them.

On my local wordpress I have customized my sidebar pretty extensively. Is there a way to export these widget settings to my online version. I have exported my local wordpress posts and imported them to my online version but sidebar settings did not go along with it.

    Thank-you

No way to export the Widget settings. You might use phpMyAdmin to look at the wp_options table where the option_name begins with widget_ and copy the option_values and then either paste those values into your new wp_options table or use as a reference when setting up the widgets in the new blog.

    I know, ugly.
