penandimageI'm trying to import my wordpress.com page to my own host.
I have done the "export" and "import," however, whenever I import - nothing happens. Click the button to import, and nothing loads. This is done through the dashboard Tool>Import>WordPress.
I installed Delicious XML import, and it shows as installed when I search plug-ins, but is not listed under Tool>Import.
My XML File is about 200 posts, images and text, and is only 820 KB. When I exported, I selected all content. Is this file too small?
I've tried Mac, Windows, Firefox, Safari, Chrome -- and it always gives me a blank page and doesn't load (inactive).
Any suggestions? Rather than going through the dashboard, is there a place on my server that I can put the XML file to load the content?
[Also- I don't know if this is related, but whenever I have an automatic download, it will show the address for the download, but it won't automatically install (ie: Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.1.3.zip…) - no activity, blank page.]
