When I export a blog using FF or Chrome, I get a nice little XML file as expected. However, in IE 8 when I try to export my blog, I get an error when I click on the "Download Export File" button and try to save the file.
The error is a popup that says:
"Internet Explorer cannot download export.php from <my site>. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

Usually not a server configuration if firefox/chrome works.
Mostly like IE8 configuration issue, try screwing around with the compatibility view.

Thanks for responding, W.
That's what I was thought, however, when I do an export on our development server in IE 8, I am able to export the file fine. So, it works in IE 8 on the development platform, but not in IE 8 on the production development.
I need to do a bit more research, but I know that there used to be a browser issue with IE and MIME types regarding XML files. But it is just a hunch right now that I am researching.
