   Got a category for news on my blog. I want to export it to it's own WP installation - but I must have the Meta data.

   Does anyone know how I can do this? I saw that wordpress-to-wordpress plugin and it won't work.

   It'd be good if someone could reply.

   I found a way to get this done http://www.crashutah.com/blog/juanchito/2008/08/14/export-one-wordpress-blog-category-to-create-a-new-blog/

   It's not the ideal way by any means, but it worked for me while preserving the meta data and also redirecting traffic from the old blog to the new one.
