Explorer can't find install.php (5 posts)

I'm new to this though I've done plenty of other IT things. I've followed the 5 Min Install guide, have the files in a folder on the server and all looks well.
When I try to run the install I type http://www.artswilde.co.uk/web/WP02/wp-admin/install.php and get an http 404 message saying the file is not there.
    Any ideas as to why?

Sorry, I'm dimmer than I thoought. I've looked at IIS and can't see how that helps. Could you give me another clue, please?

He was asking if you are using a Windows Server running Internet Information Services (IIS).

    I looked. You are.

Installing WordPress on IIS can be difficult if you don't have your server set up with the minimum requirements. Look here for some possible solutions.

Thanks for that CCrest. I am now talking to my hosting provider to get them to hopefully sort the problem. Regards R
