we're planning the migration of the german underground site http://www.gulli.com from Typo3 to WordPress. We're looking for contact to some High-Traffic WordPress Webmasters (>1 million PI/Month) to exchange experiences, hopefully getting some questions answered and also contributing by ourselves to the wordpress community.
We're especially interested in experiences with wordpress on large sites, the adaptions you took (especially caching/performance) and some basic data on hardware and traffic. I guess many WP-Sites just grew large and had to adapt to growing traffic volumes, so it would be nice to hear from oncoming problems and how they were solved.
We're planning ourselves do (further) develope caching solutions for wordpress, therefor we're also interested in existing problems regarding caching on large sites, so we can contribute our solutions to the community.
We'd be happy to hear from you and hope to give our experiences back to the community as well.
