    Hi!

    Is it possible to make the widget area on the frontpage, which is per default hidden unter the "+" button, expanded?
    so users see the widgets without the need to click the plus sign?

    thanks!

    you can add this line to your child theme css:
    #secondary {
    display: block;
    }

    this will keep the bottom widget area open by default and the users can close it if they want.

    however, this will cause the widget area to be open by default but also the sidebar-link to show "+" and not "-" as it should be.
    any idea how to resolve this?
    thank you.

    anyone knows how to change the sidebar-link to default with a "-" symbol and not with a "+" symbol?
    I have changed the bottom widget area to be open as default but now I need to change the symbol that toggles this area from open to close.
