   I would like to include an AdSense ad at the bottom of my posts (not each posts, but after the last post on the page), except on the homepage. Is this something that is possible?

   For example, a viewer will see no ads when viewing MySchoolFails.com, but if they click on "Older Posts" they will see an ad at the bottom of that page. I don't want to overwhelm viewers with ads on the homepage.

   use the conditional tag is_paged() http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_paged to wrap a conditional statement around the adsense code.
