   I have not found an option yet where i can exclude one specified category from a tag archive. i tried around with the "simply exclude" plugin which helps to hide categories from the homepage and archives in general although i want theses categories to be hidden also on tag archives, BUT it has to be visible on the category archive
   Any ideas?

   i dont really get it.

   so if i have a tag archive where i want to exclude one category can i still have a category archive with the hidden category?

   Yes. You just use a custom query to exclude your category in the tag template file.

   hey im back

   so i understand how to exclude categories from archives but what i havent found is the code to exclude categories only on tag archives, they have to show up in their own category archive

   Any suggestions?
