    Is there any way to exclude recurring events in the widget? If not, will you consider adding this option.

    hi,

    sorry, this isn't possible at the moment without custom codes; but simple workaround would be adding categories to your recurring events then exclude them using their category id e.g. "-78" where 78 is the category id in Appearance > widgets > events widget > Category IDs.

    You assign categories to the events. Once you do that, visit the Events > Event Categories menu item and you can see the IDs there, if not, click 'Screen Options' on the top right of that page and enable the ID collumn.

    I don't have any snippets handy for this, but we have a filter you can hook into:

    $events = EM_Events::get(apply_filters('em_widget_events_get_args',$instance));

    you'd want to add $instance['recurrences'] = 0; to $instance

    or, come to think of it, use shortcodes combined with this plugin:

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-shortcode/
    e.g.

    [events_list recurrences="0"]

    you can do everything you do in shortcode and more than with a widget
