    Hello World,
Is there any way to exclude posts from displaying in a main category, but not from the categories below the main category?

The problem is if I click a main category it displays all post from the various lower categories. I just want do display the posts in the lower categories leaving the main category empty.

I searched the web and found alot of plugins to exclude categories and so on, but nothing that fits.

    Thnx

By WordPress standards, ANY category that has been designated a Parent category is not meant to be checked in the category hierarchy when writing posts. Meaning, only the latest generation category should be checked. Think of it like this, only the youngest generation gets the action. No posts are actually assigned the parent category.
