   Yeah! I finally found the solution to this problem.. Just upload the feature image from the Media > Library Page, then come back to your article/page, click on "add feature image" and select it from the "Media Library" tab..

   I hope this will help who like me was looking for it..

   Hi Sekmo,
   I hoped your solution would work for me too, but somehow the featured image keeps showing up in the gallery (twenty eleven theme).
   Any other solutions?

   Thanks. I realize now that I was using "upload from computer". That doesn't work. Very important to first upload through "media"-tab into library. Then upload from library.
