there are 2 ways to get this done
- go to theme options page and enable “Automatic Excerpt In List Page”, this will use a Automatic Excerpt to all posts
- use “more” tag in your post, this will effect the posts you edited.

Maybe I didn’t explain it well. My excerpts are showing on the homepage but there is not “read more link” so the reader can click it and continue reading it.
If I use the “more” tag, that only applies to posts without excerpts. What I want is for my excerpts to have a “read more” or continue reading link so the reader can click it and read the full article.

I got it, you’re using the custom excerpt.
Right?
There is no “read more” or continue reading link in current version(1.2.9 or prior) of zAlive if you’re using custom excerpt.
I’ll finish it in a few days in the next version 🙂
New version(1.2.11) has solved this issue but it needs to be reviewed by admins, you can download it in developers tab
