   Excerpts allow you to manually craft a short summary of your post if you so choose. If you leave it blank, one will be automagically generated just like it was before. Right now it's just used in the RSS feeds, however we plan to return them as search results, category browsing, et cetera. For good examples of manual excerpts in action see the following sites;

   Absolutely. It's one of the first things I plan to do with the new options system.
