excerpt in category page

    A category page is a list of posts which belong to a specific category, and the template in the theme you are using will (probably) display the excerpt using a template called category.php. The template should use the function the_excerpt() in the wordpress loop to display the excerpt, but there are other functions available which can display excerpts in other ways (with all formatting stripped out, for example).

    This plugin only adds rich-text editing for excerpts – how they are displayed (or whether they are displayed at all) depends on your theme.
