Everything is in place, but getting a blank homepage (3 posts)

    Hi,

I'm getting a weird error with my wordpress 2.6 and can't figure out what this problem is called.

I have 2.6 up and running. Everything seems to be working fine, but the homepage will turn up blank from time to time. To make the website appear, I have to login to my admin panel, and re-activate the theme that I'm using. After reactivation, the site is back. But after a few hours, if I go to visit the website again, the homepage is blank.

I have 2.6 installed in a seperate folder. Moved the .htaccess and index.php to the root, the index.php in the root has the folder specified. Like I said, if I just reactivate the theme, everything is back to normal-so everything is, more or less, in place... (as far as I know anyway).

No error message shows up anywhere. If I go to my homepage it just loads a blank page. Once I reactivate, it works ok. I can't figure out how to debug this any further. Is there a way to monitor something so I know what's going on?

    Any tips or suggestions?

    Thanks!

Same problem here with my sites. But I can't make it to work even with loggin in and activating the theme and it is blank all the time.

Weird error indeed.Very frustrating. Not sure if this is a serious BUG in WP 2.6 and if there is a way to inform the developers about it.

    My sites:

Anyone else getting the same error?

    update on the problem...

i did some digging around my server and this is the error showing up on my logs:

[Thu Jul 17 09:19:07 2008] [error] [client 68.180.194.243] mod_rewrite: maximum number of internal redirects reached. Assuming configuration error. Use 'RewriteOptions MaxRedirects' to increase the limit if neccessary.

My RewriteOptions MaxRedirects is NOT being set in the .htaccess file at all.

I did more googling around and there are some documentation about problems with this and the wp-cache plugin. But I'm not using wp-cache plugin either.

    grrrr
