    Hello there,
right when I was working and fixing some stuff about my wordpress site,
I saw that the footer, along with the infinite scroll, and also the footer widgets, have disappeared.
I have the jetpack plugin installed, but for certain reason everything about the footer is not here anymore.
    here is the website: http://pow.photos
I have tried to re-install the theme, but nothing worked.

taking a look at the html file of it, I could still see the footer, but it is inside a <noscript> section.

  • Have you tried re-uploading a fresh copy of the theme using FTP? What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

I just did by re-uploading a fresh copy from inside wordpress, delete ..upload new theme.

I’m using fanwood light theme, and i got it from the developers website

Unless you’re using a version that’s distributed on WordPress.org you need to contact the people who gave this version to you.

Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible.

i tried that thing..and the problem remains

Ghazayel … same here 3.9.1 … but before this was not happening; unsure if it is some recent plugin … update (no new install).

Once I refix widgets they are ok for 10-12 hours so I don’t know how to easiliy replicate this. A nightmare.

    Did you solve this ??

@ghazayel: sounds like this is a theme issue. I’m sorry but as you appear to be using a non-WPORG theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.

@esmi a non WPORG? but i downloaded the them from WPORG

    @arioli not yet

@ghazayel … I might have … crossing finger. Mine is stable.

It must have been one of 2 usually very reliable plugins: 1 is “WordPress SEO by Yoast” and the other is “Redirection”. I was able to frame when this behaviour started – and looking in the plugin directories, I saw I updated only these ones after that date.

Now I rolled both back to previous versions (acutally I used a major release for redirection 1.3): stopped plugins, delete directories and loaded the olders via FTP.

Site is now stable from 24 hours. I cannot tell which of the two is the bad guy: being a production site I did not want to try with just one or the other. So I can only toss a coin 😀 However – amazed as these 2 have always been EXTEREMELY reliable and I could never trace them to a sidebar or footer issue in widgets !!!

Not sure if this is tour case – but if you have any of them, try roll back to previous vesrions (around june).

my guess is, you possibly need to check for this error and fix it:
‘Error Line 425, Column 8779: Unclosed element noscript.’

likely in one of the textwidgets…

thank you @alchymyth .. i’ll try to see what ever that is
