Events – whats one

im looking to make an events section on my website that uses post entries to for events.

Ive tried the events calanders options and they just dont work for how i would like the events to work.

I would like something like town talk do it.

where i have a post that is for the event and is dispayed in a list in date order… i know i could do this with the post date options… but there no point telling people about an event happening today that they had to book in advance. So using the built in schedal post dates as standard wont help.

can anyone point me in the right direction please.
