Events posted by editors, authors, etc not showing (16 posts)

    Hi there,

    I noticed that only any events posted by users other than amins do not show on the calendar. Any suggestions?

    BTW, the "Enable approval options" checkbox is unchecked.

    Do you have any of the filter by author/host options enabled?

    Also, if you enable approval options, you can easily tell whether the events that aren't showing up are not approved (regardless of what the settings are.)

    Hi Joe,

    No filters are enabled. I enabled the approval option and if I try to explicitly approve the events, then a notice appears that says: "Error:Your events have not been approved. Please investigate."

    Does the user you're operating as have permission to approve events (My Calendar > Settings > Permissions)?

    Yes, all calendar access previleges, but I get this message even when logged in as an administrator.

    Are you using any role editor plug-ins? Advanced Access Manger, User Role Editor, etc?

    So, submitting a new event works fine; but if submitted by a non-admin, it does not show on the calendar. The event does appear as being non-approved, but returns an error if you attempt to approve it.

    Is that a correct analysis?

    Can you send a support request using the form on the Help page? I think I'm going to need more information.

    I'm having the same problem, and I am using the members plug-in to edit user roles. All my posts as admin show up, but events in my calendar that are made by another user role don't show up to other users besides myself as admin and the user role who created the events. Any suggestions?
