I’m now able to provide a link for you to see my problem.
northwalesgigs.co.uk
The home page is the events page.
Some thumbnail images for the events are a smaller width than others and this obviously causes the alignment of the event details to be different.
There must be a way to keep the text aligned regardless of the image size?
I have realised that by NOT using wordpress thumbnails, the alignment is ok, but then all images don’t load
have you tried placeholder #_EVENTIMAGE – http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/placeholders/
also, try the settings at Events > Settings > General > Performance Optimization
Where do you suggest I use that placeholder just so I know I’m looking at the right page?
I have tried the settings in Performance Optimization without success.
you can use that placeholder in your formatting options at Events > Settings > Formatting > Events
Thanks for replying.
#_EVENTIMAGE was already under ‘Default event list format’ with the sizing set at 100×100.
I’ve had a play around with the settings, but I still can’t get the alignment working.
Surely there is a way to do this even though some images are a different size
Depending on how you want the alignment to work, have you tried using
#_EVENTIMAGE{100,0}
or
#_EVENTIMAGE{0,100}
The 0 makes that side proportional to the 100px size.
Might be getting somewhere. Sort of.
I’ve tried both, obviously the image is impossible to make out.
I am trying different sizes also, with one edge set at 0 but they still stay tiny.
If I change both sizes to say 250 as an example, then obviously the image enlarges.
I sort of have it in my head of what should be working, but I can’t put it in to practice.
I really am appreciating the help.
I’ve done it!
Not yet quite how I wanted it, but at list I’ve figured it out to get it close enough.
#_EVENTIMAGE{100,175}
