I recently upgrade to Events Calendar 2.01 and now my events are no longer posting to the home page like the rest of my posts? Anyone had this issue and do you know a fix? We do a lot of events and would like them to post to the home page as well as the events calendar

The events are no longer posts! At least, no longer regular posts. They're "custom post types". Yeah, I don't like it much either (and am sticking with the old version).
However, Jonas Grumby provided a hack to restore some of that functionality for 2.x, which Tribe is including on their blog site somewhere.

We're also adding an option in 2.1 (which is still probably a month, at least, out) the select whether events will appear in the main loop or not. We didn't realize this would be such a major problem for users (we switched to this custom post type for the PRO release with 1.2 and nobody raised any issues) so we didn't include such functionality in any of the 2.0.x releases of free.
