Support » Plugin: Events Manager - Calendar, Bookings, Tickets, and more! » Events Manager not compatible with plugins which imbed another post into event

Events Manager does not seem to be compatible with various plugins designed to embed the contents of one post into another.

I have tried Posts-in-Page and Post Content Shortcodes. Neither works.

They work when using the shortcode to embed a post in another post type, just not events. Anyone know why this might be?

sorry can’t help you with this since I haven’t tried those plugin before however can I know what do you mean by “embed another post into event”?

There are various plugins where you simply can put a shortcode on one post or page and it brings in the content from another post (i.e. you could have one page for an artist and have the content of that page easily synced into several different events).

This is the plugin I’d like to use: posts-in-page

Is there something different about the way the Events Manager generates the content for a specific event that precludes shortcodes from other plugins?

    Hiya,

EM uses the standard custom post types functionality so there’s nothing unique there, and the Posts in Page plugin should work.

However, when EM generates it’s pages it does a lot more than just print out the content, so those plugins might not be able to get EM to do that.

If you want to insert Events elsewhere in your site, you could just use EM’s own shortcodes: http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/shortcodes/

    Thanks
