  • This makes sense and would be useful – – IF I could find how to implement the calendar in a sidebar to start with!

    Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets>Choose “Upcoming Events”
    If you do not have the “Upcoming Events” widget you may not have updated to pro.

    Go to Dashboard>Settings>Calendar and under Timely Support Panel on the right choose to upgrade to pro for FREE. Keyword here is FREE then follow the prompts to download and upgrade.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    I am running Ver 1.8.3-premium and I assume that ‘Pro’ and ‘premium” are the same thing, but maybe not. Under my Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets> there is no “Upcoming Events”.

    You are correct it is actually “UPGRADE TO PREMIUM FOR FREE”. Thanks, I had already upgraded and since forgot the terminology.

    If you are not seeing the widget you must not have the plugin activated. The widget will NOT appear if the plugin is not activated. As soon as you Deactivate the widget will Disappear. If you have already activated under Dashboard>Plugins>Installed Plugins>All-in-One Event Calendar by Timely, then try to Deactivate and Activate again.

    If the widget is STILL not appearing after all of that I can only suggest deleting the plugin and installing it again. Easy enough to do.

    Rick,

    Found it! I was reading what you wrote and somewhere between my eyes and brain, there was a short circuit. My eyes saw ‘Upcoming Events’, but my bran heard ‘Calendar’. Got that sorted out. In the sidebar, I have what you would see in ‘Posterbord’ view (but in one column). What I would really want is a mini-calendar, in which one could hover over a colored date (indicating an event) and when clicking the colored date, the detail of the event would expand. To see what I’m talking about, log to <arklatexmoaa.org> and look in the right sidebar.

    I’ll keep play with this and see if I just need to hit the right combination of checkboxes, or maybe what I want isn’t doable.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi rickswearingen,

    This bug is going to be corrected in the next update of the calendar. However in the interim please try this. It should move the pop-ups over the events so that you can see them.

    File location: themes-ai1ec/vortex/style.css

    Change right: 100%; to right: 5%; (as shown below)

    .ai1ec-agenda-widget-view .ai1ec-popup-summary-wrap {
    position: absolute;
    right: 5%;
    top: 50%;
    visibility: hidden;
    }

    I hope this helps!
