   I am using wordpress 3.3.1 and would like to use the events-calendar plugin v.6.7.13 in German.

   Unfortunately it does not use localized month names. Everything else is localized, but month names (both abbreviated and spelled out) are always English. Judging from other forum posts this has been a known bug for years, on pretty much every related report someone promised this would be fixed "in the next version".

   Is there actually a known-to work fix that will survive an update?

   This is a major show stopper for me...

   Before I take the code apart bit by bit:
   How are the displayed texts generated by the plugin?
   A brief sweep through the code revealed the use of date() in a lot of places (which will by design never produce localized code). Are the dates generated in English and the strings replaced later?

   Hey,

   I came here to ask exactly the same. It'd be really nice if I could show my users month names in Dutch.
