   I haven't found any event calendar plugin with upcoming events widget that actually works in 2.9.1. Anyone with better eyes than me??

   i've been using this one http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-google-calendar/
   upcoming events works well, it's not very easy to customized, and after more than a year, i'm still trying to figure out how to add images to the description of the events (like flyers)... but maybe you don't need this one.

   layabozi: Thanks for your suggestion! I think I am in need of a more integrated calendar resource, with the possibility to control the widget and the display itself. Maybe I'll just have to wait and see if there are some plugin developers who are working to fill this wordpress hole. I guess there are some.

   This calendar plugin is working for me in 2.9.1.
