Events Calendar and Facebook Integration (4 posts)

We use the standard Facebook-developed plugin to provide native Facebook integration. On the event setup page, there's a custom fields section that now includes the field "post_to_facebook_page" with a value of 1. This is showing in addition to the standard Facebook plugin section at the bottom of the event with a checkbox to select whether or not to push the event to Facebook upon publishing. The value of 1 in the custom field is tied to the checkbox being selected - if I uncheck the checkbox, the value changes to 0.

Upon publishing an event, I am getting 3 posts to Facebook: 1 time with a correct link to the event page and 2 times with an incorrect link such as /?post_type=tribe_organizer&p=683 and /?post_type=tribe_venue&p=684. This behavior does not occur when publishing a normal post - it only occurs on Events.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

    Hi Joe,

Which Facebook plugin is this? Can you provide a link so we can test it out?

    Thanks,
    Jonah

Hi Jonah. It's the plugin authored by Facebook:

    Hi Joe,

Thanks. I've gone ahead and proposed this as a future improvement in our plugin. It's possible it might also be fixed in 3.0. If not, hopefully we'll get this fixed ASAP. You might also try posting in the forum for the FB plugin to see if there's anything they can do to improve compatibility. Let me know if there's anything else I can do.

    Regards,
    Jonah
