    when i attempt to activate the eventcalender plugin during its early step if installation, i notice that my site http://www.rapnews.co.uk disappears, and instead this message is included:

    ERROR! Function get_category() is not defined. Upgrade to the latest version of WordPress!

  2. Which version of WordPress are you running?

    1.5

  4. Then I suggest that you, "upgrade to the latest version of WordPress," currently v1.5.2.

    Thank you very much for the suggestion. I have successfully updated to 1.5.2 and the plugin activated without any trouble.

    BUT

    I am trying to make the calender plugin appear on my 'keep it live' page but i am having trouble.

    ive put the line ec3_get_calendar() into the page but it merely displays the line and not the plugin.

    thanks for your time.

    You cannot put php into a post or the post portion of a page without a plugin. You will need to put the code in a template which contains the call and assign "Keep it Live" to that template.

    Or you could put it in the sidebar where it would normally go with a conditional:

    <?php if (is_page('533')) { ec3_get_calendar(); } ?>

    hi. ive got it in the side menu for the time being but i find it pretty ugly so would prefer getting it working in the 'keep it live' page.

    i have the plugin 'CG-QuickPHP' to enable php in the page but that hasn't worked.

    would it be easy for me, whom is of no template experience, to create the template with the code in? and how would i do this/assign it to the page.

    many thanks!

    Sorry, my computer crashed and hard drive is trashed so I have been busy. Just take the default page template, copy it into "calendar.php" and add the calendar call in it somewhere. There are more in-depth instructions in the codex and how to make templates.

    The calendar function itself may be too complicated for CG-QuickPHP to handle, but since my computer is down, so is my site and thus the ability to test it.
