Support » Plugins » eventcalendar3 – multiple (different) event lists?

  • Hi,

I’m using eventcalendar3 to present a list of upcoming events. The plugin posts events to a particular event category, and each event is associated with a date and time (which is set through a panel in the write post screen).

I would like to display an event list on two pages, but would like each list to be linked to its relevant category of events. For example, say I have a “Cats” page and a “Dogs” page… I would like my Cats page to have a list of events relevant to Cats, and my Dogs page to have a list of events relevant to Dogs… I think you get the general idea.

The Problem: The plugin only allows for one category to be specified as the event category.

Does anybody know how I might go about modifying the code so that I could call a different category on the second page?

Is it possible to duplicate the plugin folder, and alter some values such that I have two versions of the eventcalendar plugin running, but each with their own event category?

Any help would be absolutely fantastic.

Also, if anyone knows of an event list plugin that might better suit my needs, I would love to know about it.

    Thanks,

    John
