I looked into some of the calendars that are already created and have used EC3 before too. But I have a question about maybe what plugin would be the best for this situation:
I have a client who has a Happenings page. What he wants is to have some sort of calendar that can differentiate from State to State and City to City. Right now we have little popup windows for each state with a list of cities on that page. What I would like is to have a calendar on that popup page where a visitor can select what City they want to see Events for for a particular day or a future date.
Is there something out there like this for WP?
Maybe I could modify a plugin to do this? Anyone have any luck with doing that?
I personally have a use for exactly this. I don't know of anything like it, and I'm not a plugin coder.

Ok guess I'll have to go a different route. Maybe Joomla has something like this.
Might have, but joomla's a right bitch to work with. Try modx instead. Or maybe seagull. (Neither of which I've had time to mess with yet, but I know someone who's really happy with modx and as far as seagull, it looks pretty good.)
Well I think I am just going to start out with the EventCalendar3 and setup my categories as states and cities and re work some of the code to do what I want. This may or may not work but we'll see what happens.
