If you have a page called “event” – remove it. It is no longer needed. An events loop is automatically created at the URL yourwebsite.com/event
my theme has a built in events manager. when you go to yourwebsite.com/event, my theme automatically redirects it to yourwebsite.com/events with an “s” at the end, which is its events page. So your “event” page does not have the chance to load. I think my theme’s built in events manager is conflicting with it… is there a way for me to change your plugin up so your loop automatically goes to a different page other than yourwebsite.com/event or yourwebsite.com/events, or give me the option to choose a page for it to load to?
If your page has an automatic events manager, why are you downloading an additional events manager plugin?
because my events manager doesn’t allow users to create events on the front end like yours does. I will be using both (hopefully), but for different purposes.
The latest update has modified the url slug to events and places from “event” and “place”.
I am very aware of how your plugin is currently work, and not working. What I am interested in is a way to modify it so I can get those to show up on a custom page name. I have the software to change php, but I don’t know what needs to be changed so this will work on my site. if that’s too hard to explain then I will simply move on to another plugin.

my events manager is at events and also redirects event to events… so event and events page both are out of the question for me… is there not a way for me to specify my own page somewhere in the php?
You would have to modify the update slug within the custom post type within the plugin, line 37 of the plugin.
