Event Categories – Ajax refresh issue

    Hi there

    I’m running a site with a very large events section. We have 72 current categories (each category is a different DJ).

    When adding new categories from the Add New Event page, the Event Categories meta section is acting buggy.

    I’ll click ‘+ Add New Event Category’ and type in the new name, followed by submitting.

    In the past, the submit worked with an Ajax refresh, and I was able to then select that category before publishing the page.

    Now, in order to get the category to show up in the list, I need to publish the page, select the newly added category, and update the page.

    Any ideas why this is happening? How can I fix this?

    Have you tried to temporarily:

    – deactivating all other plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems

    This is still happening.

    I’ve tried deactivating plugins – no change.

    When I changed the theme, it worked again.

    What can be causing this? How can I fix this problem?
