Event Calendar 3 CSS Issue

(I originally posted this on the Plugins forum, it has been ignored so I am reposting it here):

This is probably something VERY simple and yet I’m frustrating myself because I can’t resolve it…

I’ve been running Event Calendar 3.1 plugin by Alex Tingle on my hockey blog, http://www.boltsmag.com. Now, everything is working fine and dandy BUT the calendar itself will not display properly in the sidebar. I’ve tried updating the CSS for the event calendar, but the problem that I am facing (the width of the background does not cover the entire calendar) just won’t change no matter what I do to append the CSS. In fact, any CSS changes won’t take.

The entire CSS folder is 644 with the chmod, should it be something else? Or where else should I go to fix things.
